(50% of Grade)
This project engages the student in the process of cultural awareness, sensitivity competence, and empowerment by participating in a cultural experience or event.
Options include (and are not limited to):
1.Attendance at a religious service in a synagogue, temple, mosque, or church
2.Attendance at a cultural-related program/conference/seminar/activity
3.Attendance at a meeting or conference sponsored by a cultural/ethnic organization; e.g., the Hispanic Nurses Association, Black Nurses Association, Philippine Nurses Network/Association, Asian-Pacific Islander Association, Global Society for Nursing & Health, etc.
4.A visit to a cultural museum
5.A visit to a botanical, Chinese pharmacy, or herbalist
6.Participation at a Native American pow-wow
7.Participation in a cultural healing ceremony
