Topic: Research proposal

You will formulate and describe a possible research study that addresses the topic, the paradox of choice. The proposed study should extend previous studies and address some “gap” in previous research.

You will need to do background research on the topic, reading some scientific journal articles, to learn about current theories and debates, and what has been tested previously. Identify a new question and/or hypothesis to test, and propose a variant of previous methods to test the question/hypotheses.

The study should be closely related to the focal study (\’When more is less: the paradox of choice in search engine use\’), but should differ in some key ways so that we would learn something new. You will be expected to explain how it is novel and justify why this is interesting.

The proposal should be organized into the following sections:
1. Description of focal study
2. Other relevant background
3. Further investigation in your new study
4. Hypotheses and justifications
5. Key differences in method
6. Methodological issues
7. Reference list

In this module, you have had an opportunity to reflect on your own growth and development and explore how you can influence positive social change on your journey as a scholar-practitioner.
As you move forward in your academic journey, knowledge, skills, and current, evidence-based resources are needed to successfully impact social change.
