Using secondary sources produce a Business Research Case Study on a topic relevant to your degree specialism.
In order to do this you must select:
a) An organisation to study. The choice of organisation must be approved by your tutor.
b) A topic to study which is relevant to your degree specialism. The choice of topic must be approved by your tutor.

Your assignment should include:
1. A summary of the topic to be covered. The topic should focus on an issue or problem that you have identified the organisation needs to address.
2. A literature review which critically examines the topic you have chosen to address.
3. A short introduction to the background of the organisation you have chosen to study and its environment.

Research in-depth: Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL (Biggest public health care hospital/sytem in south Florida)
• Explain one health disparity or social justice issue related to quality management in today\’s health care arena related to this hospital. (This is the issue chosen by me: As part of Jackson Memorial Health System there is the Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital in charge of treating psychiatric disorders across the whole age spectrum in the community. As a nurse working in this facility I have noticed that beyond the wonderful community service offer by Jackson, the length of state of the psychiatric patients is often too short, and barely meaningful enough to stabilize their acute symptoms. I believe this has a lot to do with insurance coverages (research!), then this patients end up being discharged back to the community where the lack of structure, family support, substance abuse dependency issues and base line condition predispose them for a lack of compliance with the prescribed medication regime, and at the end they relapse back to their acute symptoms and end up coming back to the hospital very soon and frequently)

Create ambulatory psychiatric clinics that also hold urgent care type capabilities to provide discharged patients with follow up and medication supply and administration as a way to avoid relapsing on condition and consequent inpatient readmission with acute psychiatric episodes back again.
Stronger case management interventions would be needed to coordinate continuity of care of the patients in these clinics.

It is a report/ factory analysis (USING SPSS) of a new measure in APA, on the construct of \”Environmental Sensitivity\” (also been called \”Sensory-processing sensitivity\” & \”Biological sensitivity to context\”). It is a reasonably new construct but was originally based on \”introversion\”. There have now been shown to have biological and genetic links. I know the content very well however the tutors want to focus on the \”behavioural\” components of the construct instead of it\’s intrinsic variability (that has been shown in literature) and I just can\’t write that perspective because I really disagree with it! But I need to get through this unit to finish my degree.

My class developed scales (last assignment) and the most common were used in a survey to collect data (within our unit online).Three sub-scales were used. This data now needs to be put through a factor analysis to find a clear (probably 3 or 4) factor solution. It also needs to be validated against other measures (provided). All decisions within the analysis must be explained (at least briefly)

A clear introduction with literature review and definition of the construct must underpin all factor decisions. Mostly using the articles provided. And obviously a strong discussion backing up and explaining the findings must follow the results.

If the results of the factor analysis do not match the original hypothesis that is fine, as long as it is backed up and explained.
