Discuss the effects of an unhealthy family system on development.

You will then write an essay of at least 600 words, drawing information from this course, outside readings, and presentations for that module/week. The essay must be strongly supported with proper citations of 2–3 current, scholarly sources in current APA format; include a reference page at the end. These sources must be less than 10 years old. DO NOT write opinions, but support your answers to the questions with your readings

Explain in detail (using course readings/presentations from this and the last module/week) the relationship between family systems and healthy development. How can one discern a healthy family system? What are the determining factors that distinguish healthy family systems? Discuss the effects of an unhealthy family system on development. Give details on family systems and how they affect physical (neural), emotional, spiritual, and social development. Are differing viewpoints considered, analyzed, and treated?

What is the time constant of the circuit with S1 closed?

  1. Consider the series L/R circuit below:
  2. What is the time constant of the circuit with S1 closed?
  3. What is the eventual steady-state current with S1 closed?
  4. What is the value of the circuit current at the first instant S1 is closed? (t = 0s)
  5. What is the value of the circuit current exactly one time constant after S1 is closed?
  6. How long after S1 closes will it take before the circuit current reaches its steady-state value?
  7. For the same circuit, assume that the switch S1 has been closed for more than five L/R time constants. If a 1MΩ resistor is placed across the terminals of the switch, calculate:
  8. The approximate time constant of the circuit with S1 open.
  9. The peak inductor voltage VL, when S1 is opened.
  10. The di/dt value the instant S1 is opened.
  11. How long it takes for the current to decay to zero after S1 is opened (approximately).
  12. Series L/R Circuit:

Consider the series RC circuit below:

  1. Assume C1 is completely discharged with S1 in the position shown. If S1 is moved to the top position, how long will it take for the capacitor voltage to reach
    1. 3V
    2. 6V
    3. 15V
    4. 20V
  2. Assume that C is completely discharged with S1 in the position shown. If S1 is moved to the top position, how much is the resistor voltage at the following time intervals?
    1. t = 0 s
    2. t = 4.5 ms
    3. t = 10 ms
    4. t = 15 ms
    5. t = 25 ms
  3. Assume that C is fully charged with S1 in the top position. If S1 is moved to the bottom position (as shown), how long with it take the capacitor to discharge to:
    1. 4 V
    2. 8 V
    3. 12 V
    4. 18 V

Create a new project in your IDE named “ExceptionHandler.”

For this project, you will write a Java program that demonstrates exception handling. Your program will accept from the user ten values and place those numbers in an array. The numbers in the array will be added together and the result displayed to the user. The program will also perform division. The program should compare the values for elements 1 and 2 in the array and divide the larger number by the smaller number. It should compare the values for all odd/even elements and divide the larger by the smaller value. The program should use exception handling to avoid division by zero errors or out of range errors (dictated by the variable’s data type) which would cause the program to stop due to the error. The program should prompt the user for a second set of ten numbers. When the user enters 9999 the program should terminate normally.

For this project, do the following:

  • Create a new project in your IDE named “ExceptionHandler.”
  • Write code to accept numbers as described above from the user. Your code should ensure that only numbers are accepted.
  • Write code to add all values together and to divide larger numbers by smaller numbers in odd/even elements. Results should be displayed. Loop to get another set of ten numbers from the user until the user enters 9999 as the first number.
  • Use exception handling to handle division by zero and out of range exceptions.
  • In the catch blocks, be sure to display the cause of the exception to the user.
  • Make sure your exception handler will handle any other errors as a default.
  • Create a UML activity diagram that illustrates how your program works. Your diagram must include all the data items in your program.
  • Use good comments to describe how the program works.
  • Make sure the program runs correctly before submission.

Explain whether political, religious, or economic concerns were the most dominant motivation.

Debated Topics (choose one)

1. The appropriate action of the colonists in response to taxation imposed by the British crown 2. The proper response by American colonists concerning the standing presence of British officials and soldiers 3. The ability of the colonists to rule themselves while still respecting the king’s authority

Which ethical system is most prevalent in the United States today?

******For Kim Woods Only****** Assignment 1: LASA 2 – Ethical Systems and Me

What a busy five weeks we have had! We have learned to use moral reasoning and examined many ethical theories in this course. These include virtue ethics, utilitarianism, social contract, deontology with goals (Hinduism and Buddhism), deontology with divine authority (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), relativism (individual and cultural), and deontology with a categorical imperative (Kant).

Think back about your impressions of each of these ethical systems and write a 1,000 to 1,250-word essay that addresses the following questions below. Be sure to write good introductory and concluding paragraphs in your essay. 1.Summarize the principle components of each of the seven ethical systems studied in this course (listed above), including the principle ethicist involved in developing the system. Use two or three sentences for each ethical system. 2.Which ethical system is most prevalent in the United States today? In the World? Explain your answer and support your response. 3. Which ethical system most closely matches your personal ethical system? Why do you think so? Explain your position. 4.Please give a short, personal example that supports your decision to identify your ethical system (3 or 4 sentences) and explain why it does so. 5.Examine your response to previous assignments in Modules 1 thru 4 in this course. Are there any inconsistencies or conflict between positions you took in earlier assignments and the ethical system identified in this paper? For example, monotheists (Christians, Muslims, and Jews) believe in universal maxims. Relativists do not think universal maxims are possible. One cannot, for example be a Christian and believe no universal maxims exist, which is a relativist position. Monotheism (Christianity) and relativism are polar opposites. If inconsistencies exist between your earlier answers and this paper, how do you resolve them in your ethical decision-making process in the real world? 6.Add at least three references to support your analysis in this paper.

Post a 4-5-page (1000-1250 -word) paper to the M5: Assignment 1 Dropbox by Monday, February 8, 2016. Include a title and reference page (not included in the 4-5 page count). All written assignments and responses should follow citation rules for attributing sources using APA format. Please use Microsoft Word spelling/grammar checker before submitting your essay.

Analyze the effects of bullying.

The Purpose of This Research Will Be to Compare The Perceptions That Students and Teachers Have Regarding Bullying in Primary Schools

A Plan for Review of Related Literature
Preliminary research concept
The purpose of this research will be to compare the perceptions that students and teachers have regarding bullying in primary schools.
Key words or phrases to be used in electronic searches
“teachers and bullying”, “students and bullying”, “bullying in school”
Resources
1. The two most relevant databases in the Noel Library that will be searched

Tentative Outline
Introductory paragraph
Bullying remains one of the biggest problems found in primary schools. The existence of this practice creates a threat to the emotional safety, psychological and physical safety of many students. It is the right of each child to be safe while at the school compound. The practice of bullying is part of the eroding element that violates the human rights of a child. Students and teachers must exercise a duty of care where the rights of students are upheld. The aggression involved in bullying results from power imbalance that is created by people. This aggression is the cause of harm extended to another person from another in a particular period. The perpetrator of the wielding power experience joys at the expense of the victim who remains helpless. This review will focus on the history of bullying, how students and teachers perceive bullying, the effects of bullying, and how it can be prevented.
