Despite commonly held beliefs about the popularity of presidents, presidents are elected by the Electoral College. This uniquely American institution consists of representatives of each state who cast the final ballots that actually elect the president. The total number of electors for each state is equal to the number of senators and representatives from that state in the U.S. Congress. The District of Columbia is accorded three electoral votes bringing the total number of votes to 538. Thus, the magic number for winning the presidency is 270 votes.

 

Research the most recent presidential election using the Argosy University online library resources and the Internet and write a paper on the topic. Include the following in your paper:

 

Identify the major issues of concern to voters and compare how each presidential candidate addressed those issues.

Summarize information relevant to the issues and the election.

Evaluate the validity of each candidate’s arguments.

Cite your sources and prepare a title and reference page according to APA standards.

Write a 2–3-page pap

Submit a paper addressing the following:

1. Describe the general characteristics of oligopolies.
2. Describe the economic characteristics unique to the airlines.

Based on the feedback you received on your submission from last week, submit a revised draft of your paper with this additional information:

1. Five additional references that could be used for your research paper and include a 1-2 sentence description for each of the five additional references, explaining how they fit with the research topic and the research question proposed. Make sure that these references come from scholarly sources using Argosy’s library resources.
2. A  very detailed outline of what you would like to cover in the intro/lit review of your paper. Write it as an outline and think about what you want each paragraph or section to cover. Paste your references into each section where the information from that article applies to the topic. Below is an example of the outline although the references have not been pasted in yet:
   1. Introduction or Statement of the Problem (e.g. Predictors of Depression in Men)
      1. Research question (E.g. What factors predict depression in men? For example, age, marital status, family history, stressors).

Imagine you are a stakeholder for a non-profit health care organization. As a leader you are responsible for modeling ethical behavior and have the ability to encourage patient safety initiatives.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word letter to your legislator promoting a health policy which supports patient safety. Your policy could include safety issues such as and hand hygiene or Medication Administration.

Assignment 2: Annotated Bibliography

This week, you will complete a annotated bibliography for a paper that will be due in Week 5. For more information on the required format of the bibliography please click on annotated bibliography template.

For Week 3, utilize the mental disorder categories from DSM-5 to do a annotated bibliography on current research (within the last five years) on two disorders derived from the following list of mental disorder categories:

Country Selection
I chose to do my research paper on England’s Healthcare System, and compare it to our system of healthcare here in the United States. I have always been obsessed with England, their accents, tea, their architecture, writers, musicians such as Duran Duran, etc.…. So naturally I am interested in their healthcare system.
The only thing I know about England’s healthcare system is that it is free to all citizens, and that it is one of the few countries that has this type of system. There is private health care and a wide variety of alternative and complementary treatments are available for those willing to pay, although the public health system is the main source of healthcare in England. The National Health Service (NHS) which is England’s public service system is in charge of healthcare in the United Kingdom. (Europe-cities, 2016)
