Write a 750- to 1,050-word summary of the relationships.
Report to be in English only and uk sources should only be used.
Assessment Task
This is an individual assignment, resulting in a report of 1500 words (excluding appendices).
This should be presented as a 1500 word Management Briefing document entitled ‘Four Key Lessons for Today’s Enterprising Manager’. The audience for the Briefing is the Senior Management team of a large global company, who are looking for ways to develop the young ‘enterprising managers of the future’ in their organisation. They are asking you to identify the four most important facets of an enterprising individual, and propose ways to develop those attributes. Your proposal should be fully justified in terms of research and theoretical underpinning.
Produce a 1500 word report with a max of 3 appendices to address the following elements:
Identify the characteristics of the enterprising manager
Identify and justify the four enterprise attributes that should be developed in the young managers, the ones that you believe that would be most beneficial for the organisation
Explain how the organisation could develop the managers
Utilise ‘academic’ and practitioner research findings to support your assertions
This should be in Business English with care taken with punctuation, spelling and presentation. The report style and quality should be appropriate for presentation to a professional manager. Note that appendices should be used to provide supporting research and information. A maximum of three brief appendices are allowed, each no more than 2 sides. Appendices will not contribute to the grade.
Assessment Breakdown
The report will be graded using standard university procedures and requirements.
It will be graded equally on five criteria:
1. Identification and discussion of a range of enterprise attributes (knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes)
2. Justification of the four selected enterprise attributes.
3. Clarity of recommendations for developing those attributes.
4. Use of academic and practitioner research to support the analysis.
5. Correct use of report format, together with Harvard referencing of all sources of information.
In the discussion, you should first give a clear answer to the following question: Given that there is no institutionalized clergy in Islam, how does the religious system work? What is the nature of religious leadership in Islam? What is the role of the state in religious matters?
Then, consider some of fundamental consequences of the absence of ordained and institutionalized priestly orders in Islam: Political consequences, for example, and, more particularly, sectarian consequences. Do you think that the test for a true Muslim is not that he or she remains faithful to an “orthodoxy,” but that he or she is loyal to the community—that is, the test is not theological but social?
