Details of the Task
Task
You have been asked to produce a Programme Delivery Plan or Scheme of Work for 6 sessions/lessons in a sport/physical activity of your choice. This Plan/Scheme should look to introduce your sport to a group of children who have little or no experience in the sport. The specific age of the children can be decided by you but must fall within the age range of 5 to 14 (key stages 1-3.
In this Plan/Scheme of Work you should demonstrate that you have carried out the following;
Planned for progression
Made provision for a range of abilities and learning styles
Built in opportunities for assessment.
The setting can be either be education or community-based but you must be clear about the rationale behind your choice of activities.
Guidance
Your Plan should contain two sections;
1.The plan/scheme of work presented in a table format showing the planned activities and key teaching/coaching points
2.A 900 word explanation/justification of the rationale that underpins your selection of activities and their progression
To achieve an average grade you should be making good use of an absolute minimum of 14 academic referenced sources (text books and journals NOT web-sites).
