Development (Part 2):
In Part 1 of the Final Project, you selected a topic/theme, explained why it interests you, and gave a preliminary list of cultural/artistic sources.
Now, in Part 2, you are asked to finalize your selection of cultural/artistic sources and begin the process of describing how they treat your theme.
1. Finalize your choice of three specific cultural/artistic sources. They should all somehow say something about the theme you selected in your proposal, and should be drawn from three different humanities disciplines, that is, visual art, music, dance, poetry, prose, theater, film, religion, or philosophy. For example, if you selected the emotion of love as your theme, you could find expressions to talk about in Shakespeares Sonnet 147 (poetry), Boticellis Birth of Venus (visual art), and in the ballet Swan Lake (dance).
2. Create a document that develops your topic by presenting your sources and explaining how they support your theme. This should be a neat, single-spaced document about two pages long with one-inch margins and using 12-point Times New Roman font with your name, the date, and a brief title in a block at the top of the first page. The document should have three sections, one for each source, each 200 to 300 words long. Each section should begin by clearly identifying a source by its creator and title, followed by bibliographical, geographical, or other identifying information depending on the kind of source, and including a web link if available. The main body of each section should consist of your description of the source and an explanation of what it has to say about your theme and why you chose it.
