Now, imagine that you are his/her advisor on international issues, and he/she wants you to help him/her find solutions to what you consider to be a relevant international problem. Write a letter to that president including:
An explanation of the problem you chose and why you think the topic is important. You’ll have to pick a topic that you believe your president would also care about or, if you think he/she would not see the issue as a priority, frame it in a way that is more likely to get his/her attention.
An application of one of the theories of International Relations to the problem you chose (think about the individual you chose and which theory/perspective he/she would perhaps be more open to accept).
Weaknesses and strengths of that theory in explaining the problem.
Original and structured solutions to the problem.
