Topic: Taylor Swift\’s Feminism

This essay will analyze Taylor Swift\’s feminism (as seen through public comments and actions etc.), and the problems associated with it. It will argue that some aspects of her feminism need to be improved/resolved, and back this up with research on feminist studies which covers topics like white feminism and intersectionality. Topic: American literature: Hollywood, mass culture and violence

Writing about Nathanael West\’s novel The Day of the Locust and Quentin Tarantino\’s film Django Unchained and how the two texts relate to Hollywood and mass culture in different ways.

While West is critical of Hollywood and the violence that its mass culture inspires, Django Unchained not only embraces and celebrates the mass culture of Hollywood but is clear evidence that violence has become part of the mass culture . Violence, specifically aestheticised violence, has now become a product of Hollywood that is desired and consumed by the masses, as opposed to its past status as a side effect (or symptom) of consuming the industry\’s aesthetic and mass culture during the Great Depression.
