Child Development is a field of study that covers different aspects of biological, mental, cognitive, and physical development of children. Within the field of Child Development, campaigns are often created as an effort to inform audiences about a specific issue, achieve a particular goal, or help support the development of an objective. Funding to support campaigns is generally awarded based on campaign proposals. You will create a proposal that addresses a specific topic.

Instructions
Read the following scenario and example of YOUTH DEVELOPMENT. Next, develop a campaign proposal that you might use in your current or future professional role. Please address each of the following content and written communication expectations provided with this assignment.

Scenario: A large non-profit organization in the United States is looking to fund a national Child Development Campaign that brings awareness to a topic of importance in the field of child development. You have been selected to apply for this opportunity and develop a campaign. Your goal for this assignment is to create a campaign that draws on the knowledge you have learned in ECE205.

Proposal Information

•Summary (2 points): Summarize the mission of the campaign and the contribution to the field of child development.
•Relevance (2 points): Explain your rationale for the development of this campaign and why it is relevant to you as a professional COUNSELOR
•Theoretical Lens (2 points): Discuss why the campaign topic is relevant to a specific age and stage. Use theories of child development to support your rationale.

Overview
Prepare a report that covers all the areas detailed below. You should consider your situation as of the time that you complete the report, i.e., your current skills, knowledge and experience.
There are five separate parts to this refer assignment, all of which must be completed to pass.
1. Access Times Top 100 graduate employers website www.top100graduateemployers.com and find an advertised graduate role that you would be interested in applying for when you graduate. Research the company and the role and write a brief report that outlines the following:

• The organisation’s sector – market, competitors, current financial situation, current trading situation
• The role – main responsibilities and requirements, how the role fits within the organisation

2. Review your current competencies against the identified roles requirements and develop a personal SWOT to illustrate your areas of strength and areas where you have development requirements; where you see opportunities and where there may be threats to you becoming a suitable candidate for this role.

3. Construct a personal development plan (PDP) (making use of an appropriate table format) that details how you will develop the skill and competence in areas where you have identified that you are weak or require further development. This should cover the time until you graduate and beyond. Further detail can be provided in an appendix if required.

4. Develop a one-minute written ‘elevator’ pitch, which you would present to recruiters for this organisation outlining how you meet their requirements and why they should recruit you for this role

5. Prepare a STAR example that demonstrates your competence in Team Working. You can make use of information from the team working assignment within this module as necessary to support your demonstration of competence in this area. This should be submitted as an appendix to your report.

Total word count for this assignment would not normally be above 1500 words (not including appendices). You will need to present your information in a business appropriate report format.

America’s Democracy: Your Report Card

The primary goal of your last assignment is to critically analyze the primary features of the American national government. The results of your analysis will indicate what you have learned over the last five weeks. In order to accomplish this task, it is important to critically evaluate the key facets of our American democracy.

You have been preparing for this final assignment each week by constructing a detailed outline of the Final Paper’s main points through the weekly Learning Activities. In addition, you have read the course text and course readings, reviewed videos, and researched additional material for each week’s assignments and for this paper. This week, you will put all of those outlines, readings, reviews, and research together into a one summative paper.

As we wrap up our course, reflect back on what you have learned about the key structures, systems, roles, and processes that embody our national government. Huber (2004) wrote on the topic of organizational learning and knowledge acquisition. He noted that a firm or organization’s survival is linked to three dependencies:

• Survival in a dynamic and competitive business environment requires innovation.

Considering all of the changes and learning that has been accomplished in your field of study during the past two decades, what have you studied or seen as innovative or linked to the creation of new knowledge?

During your course of study, you have been exposed to the areas of distance learning and virtual teams (whether working as a group or with your instructor(s) on a one-on-one basis), so you have seen innovation in terms of moving the classroom from a physical location into a virtual state. With this virtual state in mind, more and more organizations have been able to operate globally to a larger degree. Thus, the sharing of knowledge between organizations has become a valued commodity in the workplace and marketplace.

Specifically, as you write your response to this question, you may want to incorporate how your current level of knowledge can be used in an innovative way to help strengthen or increase the knowledge in your field. Also, you may want to consider how your experience in distance learning has changed or not changed your views on globalization, distance learning, and/or knowledge management.

In this course, you will write a 1,050- to 1,400-word comprehensive Continuing Academic Success essay, due in Week 5. 1) The second assignment consists of two activities and relates to the organisation you have chosen for Assignment 1. World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)
1) Practical activity (40% of mark): submission of a working dashboard. Create the design of a dashboard using one of the tools shown in the practicals (Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau). You should submit the dashboard by saving the dashboard as a file (*.pbix or *.twbx) and submit that file with your report (see below). Also include a screenshot in the report. Further you need to add a description of what it contains and how someone can interact with it. Make sure that you use at least one of the new types of visualisations (not just charts). Note that you should focus on externally available data and the data can be different to what you have mentioned in Assignment 1.
2) Written activity (50% of mark): explain the approach taken in deciding what to put into the dashboard to demonstrate your understanding of the business’s need and how often the data will need to be changed (there will always be more data available).
Outline the challenges in developing the dashboard. Provide advice on (a) how the organisation would benefit from more BIA and (b) specific recommendations on what the organisation could do to make implementation easier (eg: data quality, governance of classifications, etc) – refer to BIA lifecycle. For the written component, create a report in a similar format to the first assignment addressing the points above.
