I am working 12 weeks of internship at a Nursing home facility. The following should be outline in the journals
Journal entry of each week starting from 1/19 thru 4/9
As a volunteer, I helped the recreational department get the residents involved in activities. I helped take the residents on walks, go on shopping trips, play board games, talk to the other residents and meet new residents.
Also assistant to the administrator with the following task:
• Be an articulate communicator face to face, in writing and via email
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and be a quick study in learning new technology
• Manage complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Maintain confidentiality in all matters
• Use Excel to compile and analyze data and present findings as appropriate
• Develop strong positive relationships throughout the organization to ensure positive department reputation, excellent customer service and cross group collaboration
• Interacts with staff at all levels to gather information and/or provide requested information
• Manages and coordinates special projects as needed
• Present a professional image at all times
